Three Continents in Two Weeks: A Retirement Victory Lap

I spent thirty-two years working for the same logistics company in Atlanta. I gave them my youth, my weekends, and far too many missed family dinners.

When my retirement day finally came, Sandra and I decided we weren't just going to Florida.

We wanted a massive, multi-city trip. London, Dubai, and Bangkok. A real victory lap. But figuring out the logistics of stringing together all those flights in business class was giving me a headache.

Flying the QSuite for the long hauls was incredible. Sandra and I got the center seats that convert into a double bed. Having the privacy doors closed while watching movies together at 35,000 feet was an absolute blast.

It felt like we were in our own little flying apartment. We toasted to my retirement somewhere over the Atlantic, completely isolated from the rest of the cabin.
